Power Adjustable Ribbon-Wire Resistors - DQS Series

Ribwound DQS adjustable resistors are particularly useful where high energy is to be dissipated in the lower ohmic ranges. These heavy-duty resistors are designed to withstand frequent start-stop cycles characteristic of motor starting, dynamic braking and other similar applications.


These power-rib wirewound resistors are equipped with an adjustable lug, making them ideal for adjusting circuits, obtaining odd resistance values and setting equipment to meet various line voltages.


These DQS power-rib resistors feature a hollow core to permit secure fastening with spring-type clips or thru bolts with washers. They also offer the durability vitreous enamel coating and all-welded construction.

  • K(±10%), J(±5%), H(±3%)

1. Power Rating of adjustable resistor is determined by the maximum resistance value.
2. Resistance and Power Rating should be decreased while you are moving the adjustable lug.
3. Adjustability is 10% to 90% of full value. Wattage is proportional to this adjusted resistance value.
